PCTECH was originally founded by as a sole proprietor in 1989. Having worked in the computer industry for several years it was quite apparent that something was lacking with many of the local computer resellers at that time, whose primary focus was price.
Setting Goals
Customer service and quality of product was the young company's goal and the plan was put into action by creating a very bold company slogan “Out to set the standard in Quality Computing TM”. It didn’t take long before customers saw the value of the new company and word of mouth quickly spread the name, reaching consumers and business people across the Vancouver Lower Mainland. All products and services were personally tailored and delivered on-site. The goal was to provide a level of customer service beyond the customer's expectation - from the very first interaction to continued communication throughout the ongoing business relationship.
Loyal Customers
Many new customers became loyal clients and some even became good friends. The test of time is that many are still with us today. In one of the most touching tributes to the company, one loyal customer who was with us from the very beginning passed away recently and acknowledged us in her obituary.
Company Name Change
In 1998, to expand the business to other markets, the company was incorporated and the named changed to PCTECH Computer Services Inc. to reflect the nature of our business expansion plans. With it our mission statement evolved into what it is today, “Professional Service with a Personal Touch” ®. This reflected our desire to provide the highest level of customer service and yet still maintain the personal touch that clients had come to expect. Shortly thereafter, PCTECH registered its' most ambitious mark, our new company motto that was simple and to the point, "Forget the Geeks, Ignore the Nerds, Call the Professionals" ®
Old Values
While many companies today still think that business is about having the lowest prices, PCTECH still believes in the old values of customer service. Customer relationships are the key to success in any business. What separates PCTECH from the others is our commitment to our clients, to providing the best service possible.
PCTECH in the Community
Given our success over the years, we feel it is important to give back to the community. PCTECH is involved in the community by donating time and financial aid to select local charities including the Firefighters Fund Raisers and not to mention local minor league baseball and soccer associations. We are all part of the community.
Our biggest achievement
After reaching our twentieth anniversary recently, PCTECH received surprise recognition as the Consumer’s Choice Award Winner for 2008 in the category of Best Computer Service and Repair Company in the Lower Mainland. This award is very special as it is determined by consumers across the Vancouver Lower Mainland and the research is performed by an independent third party organization. The Consumers' Choice Award tells us that we are on the right track to reaching our goals.
To add to the excitement of this recognition by the community, PCTECH is proud to announce that we have been chosen once again as the Consumer’s Choice Award Winner for 2009 in the category of Best Computer Service and Repair Company in the Lower Mainland.

For example, we still assemble most of our white box computer systems and have recently partnered with Dell to provide their complete line of servers, desktops and laptops.
